My topic would be related to government and prevention of disease.
"Should the government intervene on the regulation and production of tobacco, cigarette, and other products that can significantly harm the consumer, whom can develop diseases such as lung cancer?"
New topic "Should tobacco companies be held liable, if a person becomes sick with a disease which would harm the consumer?"
How about: "Should tobacco companies be held liable if a consumer becomes sick with a disease resulting from their product?" :)
Hey, send me your picture for the powerpoint when you can :-)
My topic has to tie in with government and media(books, music, television).
"Has media affected the Americans' view on politics for better or worse?"
Hey, send me your picture for the powerpoint when you can
What kind of media? News media, social media????
In America, the news media has a negative (or positive - pick the side you want) effect on the political climate. (I still think this is a little too broad.)
Keep it debatable....
My topic deals with government and hospitals.
"Should patients with asthma require more medical attention and stay in a hospital longer than other patients?"
I am not sure if you will see this, but I wanted to send you xoxo! We miss you and hope that you will find success at your new school. THANKS FOR THE APPLES! Love them! That was so thoughtful! Love you, kid!
I have to infuse government with arts and entertainment.
"How has literature affected the systematic flow of government and politics over time?"
Wrong class... oops lol
Love it...but it might be too broad. Literature has been around for A LOT of years (Ha! Understatement!), so you might have too much to cover. Maybe make it exclusive to "since the 19th century." That may be still too much. Think about it, do a little research, then adjust as needed. :)
My topic has to deal with government and medicine
Should the government lower the legal drinking age to 18?
Is Obama care the best way to provide quality health care to a vast group of people? Did it truly fix our healthcare system? Was the healthcare even broken in the first place?
Interesting, but you have too much going on here! Condense it to one of those questions.
Obama Care should remain in effect because it's helping many Americans who would otherwise not have insurance. (You can say the opposite if that's what you want.) :)
Do athletes taking part of propaganda and political campaign change people's personal views?
Does the actions caused by professional athletes, artist, and actors influence civilians In a positive way or a negative way? Do they influence civilians to break laws just because they do?
Though interesting, that might be tough to measure. How about something like this:
Because of the salaries and attention given to professional athletes, they should be held to a higher standard than other professions.
Keep working with it?
Did the lavish "Roaring 20's" cause The Great Depression or was there another factor?
Of course there were other factors! I am not sure if this is debatable. Keep digging! If you're really into the 20s, I am sure there are other ways to explore it. What is your academy focus here??? See me if you need help....
Government & Academy of Law.
"How will the Southern American children that are crossing over the Mexican border, one day prosper America? What is America willing to do to allow these children in and provide them with the "American Dream?"
(Don't know if this is too broad for a topic sentence but I really want to discuss all of these points)
Whether or not the United States should allow children whom are crossing over through the border of Mexico, make a permanent residency?
How about "The American government should (or "should not" if that's your angle) allow children who are crossing through the border of Mexico to become permanent residents"???? :)
"Should religious beliefs in art forms being displayed be defined as unconstitutional?"
Love it. Being displayed where? Governmental buildings? Maybe narrow it down a little. :) Other than that, this is VERY interesting!
My topic needs to incorporate government and health science, so my topic will be along the lines, "To what extent is our government's protocol in handling pandemics effective? What are the strategies for disease containment?"
You don't need the second question.
The American government's protocol for handling pandemics is ineffective (or effective depending on your take).
Is that better?
I just saw your comment way down at the bottom. Next time, just keep adding to your own comment so you don't have two threads going at the same time. :)
Elian, your idea is so unoriginal
My topic has to do with WWII and Tourism.
How were Europe's statistics in the Hospitality and Tourism industry affected during World War Two?
This is not as current as I would like it to be. What about war now? They're all over the place. I think this is interesting, but I feel it would be a history report. Let me think about this some more. :) See me later in the week. :)
Health Science & Economics
"Should companies be allowed to advertise prescription drugs directly to consumers?"
What do you mean? By phone call? A visit to the house? Not sure what you mean by direct. Once you specify, this will actually be really cool! :)
Government & art and entertainment
"Is Monarchy still necessary in this era, or is it mainly used as a form of entertainment?"
Turn this into a statement! :)
My research topic is related to the legalization of drugs not approved by the FDA or the state but allow an individual to feel better.
I have decided to change my topic and discuss the "death with dignity" law. Should "death with dignity" law be allowed throughout the united states to terminally ill patients?
Yo! Capitalize United States, please!!!! We need to reword this a little, but it's good! :)
I wanted to focus on John F. Kennedy and the affair he had with Marilyn Monroe. Infusing Kennedy as president and Marilyn's career in the entertainment business I can bring history and my academy together. It can be debatable weather or not she overdosed because of Kennedy not wanting anything with her or because she was just troubled.
Way too much here! We need to discuss this at length. See me on Friday. :)
I am being changed to the finance academy.
My topic will be the Economic Bubble Burst in Houses of 2008
My topic has to do with media and government.
Does media bias influence voters political election outcome?
Government and AOE. To what extent should government intervene in stem cell research?
- Discussing ethical issues, government policy, stem cell findings and whether they help or not
My topic is to essentially bring to light if a male politician should decide a woman's right to have an abortion.
I think abortion has been played out. Can we discuss some other ideas?
My topic relates to government and health.
"Is Obamacare facilitating dental care?"
This isn't debatable. Think some more then come see me on Friday! :)
Has the government supported the development of medical anthropology over the years?
Biomedical and government.
This isn't debatable. Think some more then come and see me on Friday! :)
Resubmission: Topic related to Health and Givernment - "To what extent is our government's protocol in handling pandemics effective? "
I responded to your more recent comment up at the top. :) Next time, just keep adding to your own comment so you don't have two threads going at the same time. :)
Academy of Hospitality and Tourism and Government and Economics.
"Will 5-star hotels weaken or enhance their service by "going green" to help with the economic crisis? "
Environmental crisis? I am confused. I do like your approach though!
Animal abuse and how its wrong to put down the animals.
Create a statement using this idea....
Academy of biomedical science
Enviromental impact of the port of Miami tunnel.
Oooh! Love it! It's debatable by nature, but you need to formulate your topic into a debate-type format. :)
Should the government put in more money to help out cancer research?
This page is intended to be a resource for our AICE Lit students. Our hope is that it will be a forum to share resources and have discourse pertaining to the research paper and our class readings!
