Revise & rewrite the PEEEEEEL you brought to class Tuesday. AND write another PEEEEEEL on a different method. Make sure to type your PEEEEEELs in MLA format: 12-point font, double-spaced, 1-inch margins, header at top left. DO NOT highlight your PEEEEEELs!

Identify the strongest 6 methods Edwards employs throughout "Sinner in the Hands of an Angry God." Create a plan like this one for the 6 methods, identifying multiple examples for each one AND an explanation of the effects Edwards accomplishes. Try to create a one-sentence anchor statement, too; make sure it identifies the sermon's overall purpose. Don't stress; do your best! Come to class ready to further discuss and write! Actively read and purposefully annotate Jonathan Edwards's sermon, "Sinner in the Hands of an Angry God." Come to class ready to discuss and analyze his work.

This evening, review your lit.terms and summer reading. Friday is going to be buuuussssyyy! Come to class in the mindset that we have a lot to accomplish!
Homework Due Wednesday, 8/29:
Finish your charms AND review your literary terms. In class, we will present charms, test lit. terms, and write in response to The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. (Period 6, your class will do this summer reading writing response on Friday.)
On Friday, we will assess EITHER The Bell Jar OR Death of A Salesman. Do your reading. Come prepared.
Homework Due Monday, 8/27:
Review your literary terms and be prepared for some sort of an assessment of your comprehension of the tools on Monday.
Catch up on summer reading as well--for those to whom that applies.
Remember, too, that the charms you are making for your classmates are due Wednesday, 8/29 when we will create our class charm bracelet.
